Profits Soar at DHX, Are Flat at Jetix Europe

DHX Media, parent of Studio B and Decode Entertainment, had net income of C$876,000 in the latest financial quarter, up from C$134,000 in the same period a year ago, the company reported last week. Revenues rose to C$20.4 million from C$5.7 million.

For the nine months ended March 31 the company earned C$1.4 million, up from C$166,000 in 2007. Nine-month revenues rose to C$40.9 million from C$15.3 million.

Separately, Jetix Europe had net profits of 20.6 million euros in the latest six-month period, unchanged from the previous year, while revenues fell 19 percent to 71.2 million euros, World Screen reports.
