I'm lost as to what reality (G1?, RID?, Armada/Energon?) and what point in time this takes place.

Cybertron takes place in its own continuity from what I remember. Armada and Energon are related and take place in the same timeline. Neither of the 3 shows has anything to do with any show that came before, Much like RID they are unrelated

If I'm not mistaken Vector Prime, (which transforms into a spaceship, non-related to Optimus Prime) is a time traveler.

Thats an interesting question? I will have to look into that

I had originally thought the Cyberton was the end of the Trilogy (Armada being I and Energon being II) but from what I have seen of the JP version (watched the 1st 3 eps) I cannot see them even take place in the same time at all, HOWEVER nobody has seen the US dub so they can easily re-work it given the way Energon ended (if you watched Energon you know the ending was not really clear except that Unicron is dead, it was left VERY open)

I am also going to reseve judgement on the Paramount releases, I was not at all pleased with their Energon releases which is why the set I was working on suddenly had more care given to it

But I do agree Starscream with his crown rules!
