The Sci Fi Wire reports that Warner Bros is going to work on a fantasy movie based the comic book series Elfquest.

Rawson Thurber is planning to write the script based on the long-running comic book series by Wendy and Richard Pini about a group of elves called Wolfriders as they struggle for survival against humans and trolls. Thurber's writing credits include Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. The format of the movie is undetermined, although Elfquest has been optioned for both live-action and animated movies several times in the past.

Yeah, the "animated" movie was more like a ocmic book on screen. I love this series - I've been collecting since the original oversized graphic magazines. Somehow I can't see someone who's written for Ben Stiller really grasping the world of the twin moons, however.
